Well, hello there. I'm Meghan.

I've had a pretty wild journey so far

2014: Conscious Company Magazine

When I was 29 years old, armed with degrees in Journalism and English, an MBA in Sustainable Management, 5 months of publishing experience, and healthy dose of youthful exuberance, stupidity, and hope, I set out to launch a print magazine about purpose-driven business that do good for the world.

After a failed Kickstarter campaign followed by a relatively successful Indiegogo campaign, we somehow launched Conscious Company Magazine on January 1, 2015. Every Whole Foods Market in the country picked up that first issue of our little magazine, and suddenly we were on the map.

2015-2017: Sustaining, Scaling, & Selling Conscious Company Media

Now at the helm of a growing media company, I got a crash course in bootstrapping and leading a business. We scaled our print magazine to include in-person events, membership, and more.

It was the best of time...and the worst.

I had the incredible opportunity to meet and interview hundreds of extraordinary business leaders, was invited to keynote major events, and was making a name for myself, AND I struggled with the crushing stress and pressure of scaling a company, especially being in the print magazine industry. We somehow made it work though, eventually selling the company in December 2017.

2017-2020: World-Changing Women

After getting acquired, I stayed on as CEO of Conscious Company Media and was able to bring a vision I'd had for awhile to life: World-Changing Women.

Ultimately, we built the largest event series in the US for impact-focused women business leaders, which brought together thousands of incredible leaders between 2017 and 2020.

Despite doing work I loved—content and events that had reached over 1 million people worldwide—the stress, pressure, and overwhelm finally caught up to me. I stepped down as CEO of my company in Feb. 2020.

2020-2025: All Sorts of Good Stuff

After the dark times (aka COVID), I returned to the business space focused on transformational, in-person events. I’ve co-founded TideTurn Labs, which focuses on women's leadership and workplace well-being; co-founded Stakeholder Business, which trains business leaders on how to transform their businesses through a stakeholder model; and written my first book, This Isn’t Working, set to publish with Hachette Book Group in August 2025.
