I guess I should tell you a bit about myself...
For the last ten years, my passion has been finding solutions to build careers and companies that don't destroy us.
I've explored this through what one of my best friends calls being a "business anthropologist."
In practice, that's meant wearing a few hats: business journalist, founder, podcast host, and author of "This Isn't Working."
Across of all this, I get to study businesses and their leaders to discover what actually works—and I've interviewed more than 1,000 business leaders along the way.
I get into a lot of good trouble (see more on my recent work below).

Grab my book: This Isn't Working.
Fair warning: It's an unfiltered look into my life, my work, and my brain. Tread carefully.
Hustle culture. Overwork. Toxic workplaces.
While these issues have become the norm, it doesn't mean they're okay. They're actively eroding our mental and physical health:
-
3 in 5 workers have experienced negative mental or physical health issues from work-related stress
- 80% of workers have experienced moderate, high, or extreme stress in the last year
- 3 in 4 workers have experienced burnout at their current work
It's time for a new playbook, one that reimagines how we work and improves the workplace for everyone.
Fortunately, business leaders around the world have created this better way to work for us, and it not only improves workplace culture but business performance as well.
All we have to do is follow their lead.
